Everything starts from moneyLet's face a simple factThe moment you open your eyes...You need thatWhy?No money=No water,How to wash your face and brush your teeth?No money=Where to sleep if you can't afford a house?No money=What to eat?Let's not talk about classy restaurants and buffetsLet's talk bout basicsSingapore is increasingly more stress as years goes on...Let's face it...Now poor little Primary 1 students needs to study ScienceStandard of living had increased definatelyRecently,5% to 7% GSTFUTURE...9%,11%?Don't be surprise if this is true in a few years time,but sometimes I believe such measures is necessary for the progress of a nation.I considered to be born with a silver spoon when I was young...I get what I want 90% if it is reasonableBut no secrets to all readers,My dad passed away in 2003 <1st>I know how much my Mum had worked to hold this family togetherMy grandma is the pillar of support...My Mum had to went out earlyand came back late...as she is the sole breadwinner!Knowing that she is doing so much,all I can do as a Son is to support her financially and give her less problemsSo I bought my books,top up my Ez-link cards and etc.But some things I just can't understand...1st:Being a same 18 year old, a JC student can enjoy a student fare ride,while a Poly of a same age or perhaps younger have to take up an adult fare?Till this point of time...I still don't understand this theory behind it... It's pretty unfair too!And so..my expenses increases2nd! My grandma is ageingso I tried to ease her problems too as I eat more outside foodthus,she could cook lesser and enjoy life like a senior citizens deserves!!!Outside food,last time...a hawker Chicken rice:$2.50 :Great taste Now $3.00...FINE!But in Sengkang...Are there any hawkers?So sorry...NoNext cheapest,Food courtChicken Rice:$3.50Taste: boosBooks?I can't believe the usefulness of books nowadays...I don't know if people like me are sensitive or whatBut I find issues like this are quite trueLecturers etc. keep encouraging us to buy books,laptops etc.In the end,It was a waste as we didn't even fully make use of itand books can add up to even $100 plusBut the good thing is,it's not a daily expense.Bus fare,Food,Books are increasingly more expesive,let's be reasonable...
It's difficult for a teenage to handle all this with just less then $10 a weekTell me how to survive?I have to workAnd I believe there are lots of people that experiencing problems like me...Like I chatted with one of my close friend,JamesThe world now makes some of 18 years old like us...doing things like normal teenagers shouldn't be doing.We are now sort of an adult to control our own financial ability and even worry for the people around us...We do these things,but we don't need them to knowWe just do it cause of our own consciences so our parents would not handle so much and relief their stressI believe we are no normal teenagersWe are like an young adultthat slowly expose to the worldand let's face it...How hard you have to workto earn that $1and how fast you can spend that $1and just a reminder...It's just a basic necessitiesIt's not a wantAnd sometimes we even have to give up for our needsIs that a normal teenagers is? I don't think so as financially stable people do not understand such problems we are facing.But sometimes...I still feel that I am more fortunate then the rest...And hope people that share the same thoughts as me would gain benefits from this postWould take these advise strongly!Don't compare how bad you are compared to othersCompare how fortunate you are compared to the less-fortunateAs long you did your bestWhy care about others think about you?It's you that mattersand the path of your lifeIt's how you plan to walkso treasure lifeface problems stronglyand believe what you believe=)*ON a special noteI wrote this post with strong feelings and passionatefor the people who share same thoughts as meSo Don't give up!=)Live your life to the fullest and live passionately!!!
